Nursery group Kiddi Caru has been bought by Les Petits Chaperons Rouges, a European nursery chain.

Kiddi Caru, part of The Childcare Corporation Limited, runs 20 nurseries in central and southern England, providing over 2,100 childcare places and employing more than 600 staff. It is within the top 15 largest nursery groups in the UK.

This is Les Petits Chaperons Rouges’ (LPCR) second UK nursery acquisition. LPCR is the brand name of European family-owned childcare provider Grandir, and bought the Magic Nurseries group of 16 settings at the beginning of the year.

LPCR now has 36 settings in the UK, offering more than 3,200 childcare places. Across France and Germany, it operates more than 300 nurseries.

Jean Emmanuel Rodocanachi, Founder and CEO of Les Petits Chaperons Rouges (LPCR), said, ‘Since the acquisition of Magic Nurseries earlier this year, we have looked at several opportunities to provide the right platform to create a high-quality childcare business in the UK. We are impressed with Kiddi Caru’s culture, focus, along with their staffs’ on-going commitment to the children in their care. We believe The Childcare Corporation is the perfect match for us in the UK and we are excited for them to be part of the Grandir Group and look forward to welcoming them alongside Magic Nurseries, as well as our sites in France and Germany.’

Grandir was established in France in 2000 as the first provider of employer-sponsored childcare in the country. It has since grown to become one of the leading private nursery chains in Europe.
