Work Matters: Management Focus - Personal service

Partnership is proving the key to success for two childminders who have launched a popular local service. Karen Faux reports.

A new childminding partnership based in Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees, is aiming to support parents as much as it can with a range of additional services. Little Stars Childminding was launched just over a month ago by nursery practitioners Adele Corbett and Deborah Wright. They provide babysitting and a shuttle service for the eight children currently registered.

Ms Corbett and Ms Wright made the decision to leave their full-time jobs and venture out on their own at the beginning of the year. Ms Wright has 20 years experience in the early years sector and is currently undertaking EYPS, while Ms Corbett has eight years under her belt, with experience in special needs.
