The impact that Early Childhood Studies graduates have on the lives of children and families cannot be underestimated – and that impact comes not only from deep-rooted commitment to supporting children, but also from an unparalleled knowledge of children and childhoods.
Reflecting this, Early Childhood Studies degrees have evolved to meet the challenges of current practice, and equip graduates with in-depth knowledge of theory and the latest research, supported by the practical experience of the Graduate Practitioner Competencies.
This year’s guide builds on the content of 2021, with updated and refreshed information including new content around sustainability, feedback from Early Childhood graduates as advocates of study, a ‘Road to success’ explainer to qualifications and career progress, and a selection of new student Q+A’s providing first-hand insight into their experiences and journeys.
This guide has been put together by members of the Early Childhood Studies Degrees Network (ECSDN) to provide a clear and detailed outline of the opportunities available from the study of early childhood. This includes the study options at various levels as well as the wider career prospects.
