A national pilot of parenting orders

The Scottish Executive will start a national pilot of parenting orders in April for parents who have failed to adequately care for or supervise their children. The orders are designed to compel parents to accept support if they do not do so voluntarily. The Executive will provide 2m of funding a year to help local authorities run the pilot scheme.
