This month saw 20 students and prospective nannies graduate from Norland College in Bath. Among them was Georgina Faron, who was presented with her diploma and badge by Dr Jane Medwell, associate professor in education at the University of Warwick (pictured). Dr Medwell gave the keynote address on the developing role of the Early Years Professional to an array of guests at the graduation ceremony in Bath's Assembly Rooms. Special awards for high achievements in their course of study or their probationary childcare placement year were also presented to Katie Parker (Olivia Cowling Memorial Prize); Anna Louise Le Roy (Gifford Hall award); Laura Jodie Leigh (Louise Davis Silver Rose Bowl); Hayley Louise Sayer (Hollinsclough Cup); and Victoria Elizabeth Naylor (Sandra Soar award).
