A one-stop shop for childcare is to be established

A one-stop shop for childcare is to be established at a new early years centre in Bridlington, Yorkshire, linked to the development of the new East Riding College. Currently at the planning stage, the scheme is the product of combined work by a range of agencies, including the college, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Sure Start and the Yorkshire Wolds and Coast Primary Care Trust. It will combine nursery and creche facilities, a toy library, a base for Sure Start activities, and training for nursery education courses, social services and primary care trusts. The centre's integrated flexible provision will allow parents access to childcare facilities with the aim of encouraging them to pursue training and further education.
