A programme to improve mental health in Scotland by focusing on key stages in people's lives, including the early years, was welcomed last week by health minister Malcolm Chisholm. The National Programme sets out some of the work already underway, including raising awareness of mental health and well-being issues, promoting positive mental health and encouraging action for early identification and intervention when mental health problems occur.
