As a special needs co-ordinator (SENCO), Val James is responsible for organising and conducting the regular reviews of the SEN children in the nursery where she works. 'Each review is held once a term and I have a series of reminders in my diary so that I can plan it efficiently,' says Val.
'Organisation and planning make sure that all reviews run smoothly - and it gets easier after the first few you conduct!' Here is an example:
