Nursery staff have bared their all to raise funds for a children's hospital ward in memory of a young colleague.

Staff from Happy Jays Nursery in York posed naked behind strategicallyplaced children's toys for photos to go on a 2008 calendar, in the styleof the film 'Calendar Girls'.

Proceeds from the calendar sales will go to the Yorkshire Evening PressGuardian Angels appeal, which aims to raise 300,000 for a newhigh dependency unit at York Hospital children's ward.

Natalie Strickson, a nursery nurse at Happy Jays, suffered frompulmonary atresia and died suddenly in 2005 aged just 20.

Nursery manager Gemma Cobb said, 'Natalie's death was a complete shockto everyone. She was a very popular and well-loved member of staff.'

The calendar images were taken by local photographer Sue Gill, whooffered her services for free.
