* Kipper's Toybox by Mick Inkpen (Hodder Children's Books, 4.99) - someone or something has nibbled a hole in Kipper's toybox and Kipper sets out to identify the culprit.
* Whatever Next? by Jill Murphy (Macmillan Children's Books, 4.99) - Baby Bear travels to the moon and back in a box. On the way he meets an owl and together they have a picnic on the moon, all before bathtime.
* Harry and the Robots (Puffin, 4.99) written by Ian Whybrow and illustrated by Adrian Reynolds - Harry visits his grandmother while she is in hospital. Various bags feature in the story, which may also inspire children to use recycled boxes to build their own robots.
* Little Red Riding Hood retold by Josephine Evetts-Secker and illustrated by Nicoletta Ceccoli (Barefoot Books, hardback 10.99) - a beautifully illustrated retelling of the story.
