Under the deal, Famly will provide software, in the form of an app, to all Busy Bees’ 351 nurseries in the UK. The software is currently being trailed in the group’s settings in Scotland, with plans to roll it out in England and Wales next year.
The new app will enable parents to access everything they need to manage their child’s early years education in one place. Through the app they will be able to maintain regular communication with their child’s setting, access invoices and book extra sessions, as well as find ideas for activities to try at home.
Chris McCandless, Busy Bees’ chief executive for Europe, said, ‘By working with Famly to develop the new Busy Bees app, we’re consolidating the various tools we currently offer into one easy-to-use platform, making it simpler for parents and educators to stay in touch and work together to support their children’s education.
‘The response we’ve seen from parents and practitioners in our pilot centres has been extremely positive, and we look forward to being able to offer the app to more Busy Bees families across the UK, and to working with Famly to extend its functionality in future.
‘Following the celebration of our 40th anniversary last year, and the launch of our new curriculum Bee Curious, this is another significant milestone for Busy Bees.’
With the partnership, Famly says it now provides software for 14 of the UK’s top 25 nursery groups.
