* Three new children's centres have been given the go-ahead by the Cabinet Committee in the London Borough of Greenwich: Cardwell School in Woolwich costing 936,000 and providing 22 nursery places; Glyndon Community Centre in Plumstead costing 923,000 and providing 49 places; and a 1.2m centre at King John Playing Fields in Eltham, providing 49 places.
