Early years organisations have welcomed Government proposals to bring all school-based provision for young children in England under the national standards for under-eights daycare and childminding. A consultation paper on Early Years and Childcare Regulation published last week said the 14 standards covering providers such as day nurseries and childminders would be extended to under-eights provision in schools.
