Reception class teacher Alyson Clare explains that, while she often has individual children in her class who are at risk of exclusion because of significant special educational needs, she also identifies year on year groups of children who could be at potential risk of exclusion. To support inclusion she focuses on early communication skills and on developing all children's emotional intelligence.
