Change4Life Survey

Seventy-two per cent of children are not getting the recommended one hour a day of exercise outside of school, according to a survey of families by Change4Life, the Government campaign to fight obesity.

The figures were published to coincide with the start of an advertisingcampaign to urge families to be more active. The survey, which receivedmore than 260,000 responses from across England, also found that 45 percent of children watched television or video games before school andonly 22 per cent did something active after their evening meal.
