Childcare charities will be holding public meetings at the upcoming political conferences to highlight what affordable quality childcare can do to fight poverty. Events are scheduled for the TUC conference on 11 September; the Liberal Democrats on 19 September; the Labour conference, with children's minister Beverley Hughes speaking on 23 September; and the Conservative conference on 2 October.
