Children sign up for a place to talk

Apilot counselling service for children in two Edinburgh primary schools has proved so successful it is to be expanded across eight schools in the city and may even be introduced into nursery classes as well. Under the pilot scheme, which has been running for two years in Murrayburn and Balgreen primary schools, children can tell the school counsellor about their problems and make appointments through letterboxes marked the Place 2 Talk. It is part of the wider Place 2 Be project that provides emotional support to help children deal with a number of problems including bullying, bereavement and abuse.
