Cold foods to make with out a cooker or hob

My ideas here are very simple and will get you started. They may also highlight the equipment that you don't have, but will hopefully whet the appetite of the children to want to do more cooking. Savouries

Savouries

* Cottage cheese and chive dip or tuna fish dip served with mixed crudites -sticks of carrot, celery, cucumber, mixed peppers and cauliflower.

* Cheese squares and grapes on cocktail sticks.

* Celery boats filled with cream cheese.

* Pita bread pockets - filled with tuna fish and mayonnaise or cooked chicken/ham and cream cheese. These pockets are delicious with any combination of filling.

* Mixed lettuce leaves and cherry tomatoes with sliced hard-boiled eggs (if you have the facilities to cook the eggs).

* Coleslaw with sultanas and grated apples.

* Stuffed croissant sandwiches (these make a lovely change from sliced bread and can be filled with many combinations).
