Early Education names new CEO

The British Association for Early Childhood Education (Early Education) has appointed a new chief executive to take over from Anne Nelson, who is retiring at the end of March.

Megan Pacey (pictured) is currently director of policy and campaigns atthe London Institute of Fundraising. Ms Pacey, who was born and educatedin New Zealand, has also worked on policy and campaign programmes forDaycare Trust, as associate director at a private research company andas policy and development manager at Alone in London, a young people'shomeless prevention charity.

National chair of Early Education Bernadette Duffy said, 'EarlyEducation is delighted to announce the appointment of a new chiefexecutive. Megan is keen to return to her roots in the early years andwill bring a new perspective and skills to the association. During therecruitment process Megan impressed the panel with her research,thinking and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
