Effect of supplementation with polyunsaturated fatty acids and micronutrients

* Effect of supplementation with polyunsaturated fatty acids and micronutrients on learning and behaviour problems associated with child ADHD A total of 104 Australian children aged seven to 12 participated in a 15-week study, taking polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) alone, PUFAs plus micronutrients, or placebo. Significant medium to strong positive treatment effects were found on parent ratings of core ADHD symptoms in both groups compared with the placebo group; no additional effects were found with the micronutrients.
