Fathers at home

The number of stay-at-home fathers has increased by tenfold over the past decade, according to a survey of 1,000 parents on behalf of insurance company Aviva.

One in six couples said that the main wage earner in their relationshipwas female. In 85 per cent of households with dependent children, atleast one parent had reduced their hours or given up work altogetherafter having children, often citing childcare costs.
