Fathers' rights campaign launched

A month-long campaign called Dads at Work, by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and supported by the DCSF, aims to make fathers more aware of their rights. Posters and leaflets will be distributed to antenatal clinics and GP surgeries.

Government research found that one in three fathers with children under five do not know they are entitled to paid paternity leave.

Despite this, the majority of dads surveyed said it was important for fathers to have the option to take paid paternity leave and more than half said they would look for an employer who offers flexible working when choosing a new job.
