Flag-flying children at Shotley Bridge Nursery School

(Photograph) - Flag-flying children at Shotley Bridge Nursery School, near Consett, Durham, got into the spirit of the Queen's Golden Jubilee observances when they held their own garden party. The event was a double celebration for the nursery, which has recently passed an Ofsted inspection with flying colours. Nursery co-ordinator Anne Young said, 'Children made crowns for the occasion and paraded around the garden dressed in red, white and blue. The sun shone and it was a great day.'
