Free pre-school places

Parents in Northern Ireland are being encouraged to apply for a free pre-school place by a TV and radio advertising campaign from the Department for Education. Application forms are available from nurseries, playgroups and the country's five Education and Library Boards, and must be returned to the parents' first preference setting along with the child's birth certificate by noon on 28 January.
