The DCSF-funded training is part of the Parents, Early Years andLearning (PEAL) project, aiming to improve the education and socialoutcomes of children in disadvantaged areas. It is open to practitionersin children's centres, nurseries, pre-schools and to childminders. Thelevel 3 unit can contribute to achieving the Working with Parentsaward.
Sue Owen, director of the Early Childhood Unit at the NCB, that leadsPEAL, said, 'We are delighted that it is now possible for practitionersto obtain a nationally recognised award based on the PEAL training.'
