Haedarbol Nursery in Gardabae on a three-day study visit to Scotland

Staff at the 60-place Birrell Collection Nursery School in Edinburgh met nursery nurses and teachers from Iceland earlier this month on a visit organised by www.scottishnurseries.com, a website about nurseries in Scotland run by Cockburn Publishing. The delegation of 15, from Haedarbol Nursery in Gardabae, on a three-day study visit to Scotland to share ideas and good practice in nursery education, were presented with pictures of snow scenes by a group of Scottish three-and four-year-olds showing what they imagined Iceland to look like. Gifts presented to the children from the visitors included a scrapbook of photographs of their nursery and a storybook with an English version of a traditional Icelandic fairytale.
