Hats off to dundee project

A project that began in the Easter holidays and continued throughout the summer break has culminated in an exhibition of wonderfully inventive headgear, created by children from Dundee's Kirkton, Ardler and St Fergus Primary out-of-school clubs. The pre-exhibition programme, 'A Head of Hats', ran in conjunction with 'Hats and Gloves', currently on at the McManus Galleries in Dundee, and offered the children the opportunity to explore the theme of hats with professional artists. They made large-scale sculptural hats inspired by Dundee.

These works of art are now on display in the Galleries' activity room, to complement the main exhibition, which includes hats by David Shilling, Vivienne Westwood and Philip Treacy.

The exhibition runs until 14 November. Admission is free.
