A new child protection unit that aims to help medical staff identify and tackle abuse and neglect was officially launched by NHS Greater Glasgow last month. The unit will provide training, support and advice to healthcare staff and other professionals to ensure they are aware of child protection issues and know what to do if they encounter a child at risk.
