* To listen carefully and respond physically to a rhythm

* To increase knowledge of rhyme

* To understand how games can be used to make decisions

* To have fun together and learn about losing How to play

* Draw a circle in chalk and ask the children to stand with their toes on the line.

* Explain that the rhyme is going to tell them to do something.

* Stand inside the circle and say the rhyme, marking the beats by pointing to each child in turn:

Ickle, Ockle, blue bottle,

Ickle, Ockle, turn about.
