What is believed to be the first NVQ 3 in management specifically tailored for childcare will be undertaken by 50 staff members of Kidsunlimited. The nursery group's course on management theory is accredited by the National Examining Board for Supervision and Management (NEBS). Kidsunlimited piloted the course last year with two room leaders who completed it in six months, although it is expected that most members of staff will take nine months. Kidsunlimited plans to put more employees through the course next year. The group was accredited to deliver the NEBS Certificate in Management for all nursery managers in 1998. Director of training Kathryn Locke said, 'The training and development of our staff is intrinsic to Kidsunlimited's programme of growth. It is important that staff are constantly stimulated to provide the highest level of childcare possible.'
