In brief...Childcare professionals

Childcare professionals are being asked by the National Asthma Campaign and the National Eczema Society to spend a week of the Easter holidays and the summer with 40 children on its PEAK holiday programme. There are six one-week holidays at activity centres to give children with asthma and/or eczema the chance to enjoy activities often denied them by a lack of suitable medical care. A training weekend for volunteers takes place in Derby on 23 to 25 March. For details write to the National Asthma Campaign, Providence House, Providence Place, London N1 0NT, or phone PEAK holiday manager Michael Fantom on 0131 446 9788, e-mail mfanton@asthma9.demon.co.uk
