In brief...Registered childminders

Registered childminders in Northern Ireland are to receive funding for out-of-school care for the first time. The award from the New Opportunities Fund will enable 109 new places across the Province, catering for children aged nought to 14 and also serving a number of playgroups and schools. There will also be a number of places for children who have a special need or disability. The award will be presented by the Northern Ireland Childminding Association directly to those working in childminding networks.
