In brief...Renfrewshire Council

Renfrewshire Council underlined its commitment to giving pre-school children with special needs the extra support they need to remain within mainstream education with the opening of the new Snowdrop wing at its Springbank Nursery in Paisley last month. The Snowdrop wing provides enhanced facilities and Cecilia Kerr, the nursery's head, said it would enable the nursery to offer 'more intensive support to the children who need it'. Renfrewshire Council also boosted its pre-school provision with the opening of the new purpose-built 60-place Wallace nursery in the grounds of Wallace Primary School, Elderslie, which will cater for three- and four-year-olds.
