In brief...The National Association of Nursery Nurses changes its name

The National Association of Nursery Nurses added its voice to the debate over job titles last week by announcing it was changing its name to the National Association of Early Years Professionals. Publicity officer Frieda Baxter said, 'As an association we are aware that the title "nursery nurse" is recognised and respected in early years work, but we also believe we have to stay up to date and question whether it really reflects the training, knowledge and experience we have, or the wide range of employment opportunities available.' For details, contact Rosemary Parker, 54 Belmont Road, Hemel Hempstead, Herts HP3 9NY or visit the website at www.nann.co.uk
