It's a shame that the person who penned the Supernanny letter (Letter of the week, 29 July) had not taken the trouble to watch the entire series. Perhaps then they would have seen for themselves how the televison series charted the remarkable changes for the better in each household bearing challenging behaviour.

Supernanny managed to put in place the boundaries that were missing for controlling such difficult behaviour in these young children.

She did this by teaching and encouraging the parents, who were at the end of their tether, ways to offer love, encouragement and praise to all their children. It worked!
