Common Threads is putting play back into the playground with its 2012 programme of training running from January through to March. Playtime! Practicals introduces participants to playwork theory within the context of working in primary school playgrounds and takes a realistic approach to facilitating play.
Audio visual materials are used to highlight what a playful playtime looks like and encourage reflection on how this can be achieved. The day is also spent adapting ideas to individual participants needs so they can go back to their school and put new ideas into practice.
