A Colchester father has opened a brothel after his bid to open a children's nursery was rejected by the council, reported the local Daily Gazette.

He said he had to open the brothel to raise the same kind ofrevenue as a nursery in order to stave off financial ruin. He wasarrested on suspicion of managing a brothel, but has not yet beencharged.

A nanny from Oxford called the tax office only to be told no one couldtalk to her because she was dead, said the Oxford Mail. Kelly Fowler,who had worked for Bright Horizons nursery in Abingdon, Northants, foundthat the company had accidentally killed her off when they updated theircomputer software after she left.
