An exercise bike designed for children aged three to six encourages them to pedal while gazing at an image of a moving road on a television screen, reported the Daily Mail.

The paper said critics had pointed out that the Smart Cycle could beused as an excuse by parents too lazy to take their children out. Butits manufacturer Fisher-Price said the Smart Cycle could help combatchild obesity.

A baby girl born in the seventh hour on the seventh day of the seventhmonth in the seventh year of the millennium is also the seventh child inher family, reported the Daily Telegraph. The father of Elizabeth Elieof Erdington, Birmingham said, 'There's sevens everywhere, this must bea good omen.'

A garden centre in West Sussex has started a campaign to keep Sundaysspecial after deciding not to open for the sake of families and staff,said the BBC News website. It said staff at the family-run Russellsgarden Centre in Birdham, near Chichester, have 32 children and 6grandchildren between them. Owners Lesley and Richard Phillips, who haveyoung children, said they wanted a return to traditional family Sundayseven though accountants thought they were 'mad' as Sunday was theirbusiest day.
