- Supermarket Tesco banned a clown from using balloons during his five-hour act in a Leeds store, reported the Daily Telegraph. Barney Baloney was booked for a show at Tesco's Crossgates Centre but was not allowed to use balloons because of possible allergic reactions to the latex. The clown's bubble-making machine was also deemed an insurance liability. 'At this rate I will have no act left,' said Barney.

- A failed contestant on the television show 'Dragon's Den' is havingthe last laugh as his hybrid suitcase/child's ride is proving a massivehit, said the Daily Mail. Rob Law's invention, the Trunki, took him 11years and 17,000 to perfect. The small wheelie suitcase doublesas a child's riding toy and costs 25. Mr Law has sold 85,000already.
