The child's mother, called Bhuri, was travelling on an overnight trainnear Ahmadabad in the state of Gujarat in west India when she suddenlyand unexpectedly delivered. The unnamed infant was found two hourslater, cold but believed to be unhurt.

A first-timefather at the hospital said that his wife could not rest afterundergoing a 20-hour labour because the Lopez camp were so loud. 'Theywere making so much noise, you would have thought they were the onlyones on the floor,' he said. 'We're happy for them, but my wife couldbarely get any sleep.'
