It took just six hours to assemble a modular children's centre at Weston Park Infant School, Southampton, on 21 January. The building, which consists of six modular units, will provide a 32-place nursery and is expected to be fully open within weeks. A larger, 22-unit children's centre will be constructed in Clovelly Road later this month. Southampton City Council has invested 2m in building six children's centres in the city.
