When grandchildren come to stay for a few days, a nanny can arrive at 9pm and deal with bathtime, bedtime and night-time requests. The idea came from Georgie's own mum, who sometimes cares for Georgie's girls Annabel and Louisa. 'Many grandparents want to give their children a weekend off, but are worried they won't know what to do,' says Georgie. 'And after spending the whole day entertaining a young child they feel exhausted.'
Payment is at the local night nanny rate (about 5 an hour for the nanny). The grandparent's introduction fee of 150 entitles them to use the service for a year.
