Nannies put Nursery World in the news

* The earnings of at least one group of childcarers hit the nation's headlines and airwaves last week when Nursery World's monthly supplement Professional Nanny published its annual pay survey. The survey revealed that the average daily nanny working in central London can expect to earn around 22,000, a ten per cent rise from last year. Daily nannies outside of London and the Home Counties have seen a 30 per cent increase in earnings over the past two years, to 15,000 a year in 2000.
