Nanny of the year

A top prize of 500 and the Hampshire Nanny of the Year trophy went to nanny Liza Bowers at a celebration lunch last month, presented by Debbie Thrower of Meridien TV (right) and Jenny Warner, director of Winchester agency Family Match (left). Liza, who has more than 15 years experience as a nanny, impressed the judges with her 'caring and professional nature and her fresh, enthusiastic approach to children's developmental needs'. Alissa Pearce won the runner-up prize of 250 and Suzie Griggs, Laura Jennings and Rose Osborne were the highly commended nannies in the annual awards competition, hosted by Family Match. The agency has also recently set up a Client Club offering discounts with local retailers and services, and announced that the charity it has chosen to sponsor in 2003 is the Wessex Children's Hospice Trust, which offers respite and terminal care for families from all over central southern England.
