Horrified', 'appalled', 'disgraceful', 'disgusting' are words peppered among the responses to Nursery World in support of our 'Stop the Drop in Standards' campaign, launched last month.

'Having spent years as an NNEB trying to raise awareness and standards in this sector, the DfEE now
propose another "giant leap for mankind" - but this time backwards!' writes Louise Baker from Essex, referring to the Government's proposal to require only an NVQ level 2 qualification for half of all staff in settings.
