(Photograph) - Children from the National Foundation of Youth Music performed at the Observance for Commonwealth Day 2004 celebration in Westminster Abbey on 8 March. Youth Music was set up in 1999 to provide music-making opportunities for children and young people who live in areas of social and economic need. The charity runs First Steps for children aged nought to five, teaching them motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination through singing and playing music.
