New nursery at Maxim to have one of Scotland's largest outdoor play areas

A former fund manager is set to double the size of her childcare business by opening a 120-place setting in Lanarkshire in June.

The new setting will be the second Prime Time Nursery opened by MonicaLanga, who launched her first, a 65-place nursery in Edinburgh, in2002.

The nursery is being built on the site of the 330m Maxim centreat the Eurocentral complex, which will be one of the largest officeparks in Scotland.

The Maxim centre, due to open in 2010, will feature ten buildings and arange of shops and restaurant facilities.

The nursery will cover 7,500 square feet and offer up to 120 childcareplaces. It will have one of the largest outdoor play areas inScotland.

Ms Langa, who qualified as a nursery nurse in 2007, said, 'I'm hugelyexcited about opening my second nursery, although there is an awful lotof work to do, so it is very daunting as well, particularly given thecurrent economic climate. However, our research suggests there is ageneral lack of nursery provision in North Lanarkshire and that has beensupported by the number of enquiries we have already received as peoplelearn about our intention to open the new setting at Maxim.'
