Babies born this month face losing up to 5,500 in the first year of their lives, according to the Family and Parenting Institute.
It says that babies born in April 2011 will be financially worse offthan children born the same month a year earlier, due to a raft offamily-related tax and benefit reforms from the start of the financialyear.
