Nurseries Undercover

The Public and Commercial Services union has called for a halt to planned cuts in Ofsted's funding and a 20 per cent reduction of staff, following the BBC documentary 'Nurseries Undercover'. The PCS, which represents civil and public servants in central government, said the programme highlighted a need for more frequent and regular inspections to ensure children are safe. Dean Rogers, PCS national officer for Ofsted, said, 'In the light of some of the general points of the programme we call on the Government to seriously think again about cutting funding to Ofsted.'
