Nursery chain fills up another Paint Pot

Management Provision
Southampton nursery chain Paint Pots has brought its total number to five with a new setting in the West End area of Southampton.

The nursery opened last September and is registered for 44 children from four months old.

Owners David and Anna Wright were approached by the city council last year about running a nursery from the former Kings Primary School site.

Mr Wright said, 'We are always on the look-out for opportunities to open new nurseries.

'One of the buildings on the old school grounds is being used as a community centre, and we thought running a nursery on the same site would enable us to be involved with the community.'

Paintpots also owns nurseries in Freemantle, Sholing, Swaythling and Shirley, all located in Southampton.

The Shirley setting received an outstanding Ofsted grade last month, following the settings in Sholing and Swaythling.

Inspectors commented on the nursery's 'enthusiastic and confident staff, whose positive attitudes and interaction with the children helps them to feel confident and builds upon their self-esteem.'

Mr Wright attributed the nurseries' success to a committed team of staff and their focus on children's well-being.

He added that the new nursery has yet to be inspected, with Ofsted due in the next couple of months.
